More specifically, Baja California Sur.
Cabo San Lucas, Playa Cerritos, and Todos Santos, to be exact.
This was the last trip I planned before abandoning my type-A travel prep behavior once and for all.
The above dog
- visiting Mexico from Canada -
had a profound impact on my future beach vacation relaxation techniques.
Upon arriving in Mexico, the first step is to pick up a tiny rental car.
Then follow the dirt road into town
Stay in local neighborhood and explore the non-super tourist side of Cabo.
Swim in the crystal clear waters of the Sea of Cortez at Playa del Amor (Lovers Beach).
Get a massage. Eat lobster. Scout graffiti.
Drive up coastal Highway 19 an hour or so to Playa los Cerritos.
The local radio stations are quite entertaining and Pacifico is cold at the gas stations.
Take surfing lessons from Mario’s Surf School.
Incredibly nice people and so fun.
On my own during my second lesson!
Enjoy the sunset in a random hammock.
